The Huntsville Symphony Guild announces the 32nd annual Crescen-Dough Auction and Dinner, “An Enchanted Evening”, a major fundraiser for the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. Ruth, Betty, and committee members have been busy planning for this year’s auction in the South Seas. The evening will be a colorful and enjoyable experience with exceptional items for auction including art, antiques, jewelry, home and garden accessories, and great trips. Original and creative dinner parties will be up for bid. We even have a “Hook and Ladder Party” for twelve children aged 5-10 on a real fire truck complete with firefighters, sirens, horns and water spray, or a luncheon cruise for six couples aboard the marvelous 124’ yacht “The High Tide 2” listed in “America’s 200 Largest Yachts” in 2002. Unique auction items include the “Falcon’s Crest” sculpture carved exclusively for this auction by Richard Bruce, Limestone garden bench, Italian pottery, Auburn football autographed by Coach of the Year Tommy Tuberville, 19th Century French iron console table with a custom stone top, a silver bride’s basket, spend the day in Washington D.C. with Congressman Cramer and enjoy your V.I.P. tour or bid on a flag that has flown over our nation’s Capitol in Washington D.C. Some of the fabulous raffle prizes are Mary Francis purses, 3 karat diamond tennis bracelet, Charleston bench and a case of wine.
Guests attending the “Enchanted Evening” Auction and Dinner will enjoy a warm, South Seas evening. The menu will include Polynesian Roast Pork, Teriyaki Beef, Nut crusted Tilapia on a bed of spinach rice with a roasted red pepper garnish, Luau Sweet Potatoes, Wok Fried Rice, Sesame Green Beans, Diamond Head Salad, Spinach Citrus Salad, Waikiki Fresh Fruit Wave, Yeast Rolls and for dessert Haupia Macademia Nut Bread Pudding, South Seas Coconut Cake and Banana Nut Bread .
The HSO Guild was founded in 1960 and has 275 members. The Guild has raised over 3.6 million dollars for the HSO and music education programs for the citizens and children of North Alabama and the Greater Tennessee Valley.
Auction items will be pictured on their website atwww.crescendoughauction.org
