Art Ventures Summer Day Camp Scholarships

Friday June 17, 2005
Huntsville, AL – The Arts Council is now accepting scholarship applications for the Art Ventures Summer Day Camp. Twelve scholarships are available to need based children ages 6-12. Interested parties may apply to receive one of the Senator Enfinger Madison County Community Scholarships or the City Scapes Scholarship by contacting Andrea Williams at 519-2787, ext. 207 or by emailing awilliams@artshuntsville.org.

Students must fill out an application along with a short paragraph on “What Art Means to Me,” or “Why I Want to Attend Art Ventures.” Eligible applicants must be receiving some sort of state or federal assistance programs. Applications must be returned to The Arts Council office by July 1.

Art Ventures is celebrating its ninth consecutive summer. This year’s camp will incorporate a space theme and will take children on a tour of the arts, as they participate in sessions covering drama, visual arts, music, hip hop dance and creative writing. Camp will take place July 11-22 at Huntsville Middle School and is open to children ages 6-12.
