1995 Miss America & WAFF-TV Anchor Team Up to Help Homeless

The Downtown Rescue Mission, An Evening of Inspiration, will feature former Miss Alabama and the 1995 Miss America, Heather Whitestone-McCallum. Tuesday, July 26th, former Miss America, Heather Whitestone-McCallum will be the featured speaker at an evening of inspiration to benefit the Downtown Rescue Mission. Lee Marshall, singer and news anchor of WAFF-TV will provide music.

Mrs. McCallum tested as “profoundly deaf,” as a result of a near fatal illness when she was a young girl. She credits her determination and the hope and encouragement she found in Jesus Christ with her success. Come and hear her inspirational story!

The event will be held at the Whitesburg Baptist Center in Huntsville on Whitesburg Drive. Individual tickets are $25.00 and a table for 8 is $200.00. The banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Funds will go to the Downtown Rescue Mission to help continue the services for the hurting and homeless women, children and men who come to the Mission seeking help. The Mission is an open-door mission and no one is turned away who needs assistance.
