SNAP Thrift Shop to Open in Huntsville

By August 17, 2005

Follow me on:

There's a new store coming to town: SNAP is opening a Thrift Shop. It is a "cut above" your average Thrift Shop and carries only "gently used" items. A local group in Huntsville has been fighting overpopulation of animals since 1994 when the Spay/Neuter Action Project was born. This new store will provide income for this program.

The GRAND OPENING of the SNAP Thrift Shop is Sunday, August 28th from 1 to 5 p.m. at 3312B Bob Wallace Avenue (next to City Lumber). There will be light refreshments available for visitors while they browse through gently used and vintage items at great prices! Clothing, jewelry, shoes, purses, books, linens, household items, artwork, and much more will be available. Everyone is invited to come buy and SNAP up a bargain!

AND, shoppers will be helping SNAP help the animals! SNAP's mission is to reduce the pet overpopulation problem by preventing the births of unwanted animals. The proceeds from the Thrift Shop will benefit low income pet owners who need assistance "fixing" their pets.

Regular business hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 11:00 to 5:00, and Thursdays from 11 to 6. SNAP (Spay/Neuter Action Project) is a non-profit organization and donations of items for the Thrift Shop are tax deductible. Call the Thrift Shop at 535-6060 for more information.
