If you don't mind a little drive, you might want to check out Alabama Frontier Days in Wetumpka where they have an Reenactment of Alabama's frontier days from French Colonial times to the early-American period with Native American reenactors, period traders and merchants. Closer to home, Harmony Park Animal Preserve (drive-through tour) is open from 10 a.m. until sundown, seven days a week.
The Scholastic Book Fair Fundraiser at Academy For Academics and Arts continues all week. Sci-Quest is open with their Bones exhibit and the Immersvie Theatre's "Inside the Human Body" film. State Black Archives Research Center & Musuem has an exhibit called Kwanzaa "Tradition & Creativity," while Huntsville Art League's exhibit is “Exploring the Backroads and Highroads” through oil paintings by Malinda McCleary and Dorothy Montgomery.
