Huntsville Insider Info

Sunday March 12, 2006
Here's some things I learned this week in Huntsville: (1) The Huntsville Chapter of the Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA) will hold it's kick off event on March 16, 2006 at Huntsville Country Club at 6 pm. Speakers will be Liz Hurley and Kristen Tallent from WAFF channel 48. Cost is $30 at the door . Contact Pam Ledgerwood (256) 216-0211 or Barbara Patton (256) 457-4373 for reservations.

(2) If "Dancing With the Stars" has you wanting to learn some dance steps of your own, check out UAH Dance Club.

(3) United Cerebral Palsy and Redstone Federal Credit Union are pleased to announce that the Eighth Annual Irish Evening will take place on St. Patrick’s Day, Friday, March 17, at the Von Braun Center North Hall. Besides Irish cuisine, Celtic music and entertainment, there will be live and silent auctions. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $60 per person or $480 per table. This evening sells out quickly, so call 256-859-4900 now for your reservations.

(4) Burritt on the Mountain has some 1985 books (when Joe Davis was mayor) of "Sightseeing in 80 Color Photos" of Huntsville. Great photos and a real steal at $4.95!

(5) Starting April 1st, you can buy farm fresh eggs at Burritt for $2.50 a dozen or $1.25 per 1/2 dozen.

(6) Bo Bice will perform on tonight's "American Idol" Results Show. Bo's new video for "The Real Thing" is currently airing on VH1 and MTV.
