Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center’s renovations have been provided as a gift to the community by local arts supporters Debra and Alan Jenkins.
The six-week run of “Menopause The Musical” at Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center marks the first time a touring show has been presented in Huntsville for an extended run and will bring thousands of patrons to the new performing arts facility. Other events planned for Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center include a Gala Benefit Concert featuring Dionne Warwick on October 12, 2007, a dance workshop with choreographer Wade Robson in July, Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton and his All Star Band in concert on August 17, 2007, and Grammy-winning rock artist Simon Kirke in concert on August 18. Additionally, local arts organizations such as The Madison Children’s Theatre and Alabama Youth Ballet will be holding events and productions in Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center this summer and fall.
