Huntsville's Weekend Weather...by James Payton
On the weather map...A cold front will cross Alabama on Thursday sparking some soaking rains & a few thunderstorms through Thursday Night. Clouds will hang around though most of the weekend with a few rays of sun from time to time. Most of the weekend however should stay dry. There will be a small chance of a shower or two on Sunday...but certainly not enough to cancel your outdoor Sunday plans. Now here's my official Tennessee Valley weekend forecast...
For Friday...Cloudy. Perhaps some sun by late afternoon. High 71.
Friday Night...Fair skies. Low 53.
Saturday...Partly cloudy. High 76.
Saturday Night...Cloudy. Low 55.
Sunday...Mostly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower or two through the day. High 77.
Last week's trivia question...According to the United States Geological Survey...if one inch of rain falls on one inch of land, how many gallons of water fell one that one acre of land? ANSWER...d. 27,154 gallons...That's enough water to fill two average above ground swimming pools!
This week's question...True or false...All thunderstorms contain lightning. Answer will appear in next week's newsletter.
Have a great weekend everyone!
