Girls, here's a fun night out: Monaco Pictures is throwing a "Sex and the City" Ladies’ Night Cocktail Party on Friday, May 30 & Saturday, May 31 in Privé from 6:30 – 7:45 PM featuring a specialty Sex and the City-inspired cocktail menu and drink specials, accompanied by light hors d'oeuvres. On Friday June 6th, 2008 at 1230 p.m. the Semper Fi Community Task Force (SFCTF) will be holding its 1st Annual Golf Tournament at the Links on Redstone Arsenal. Hospice Family Care is hosting a Block Party for all residents of Madison County on Friday, June 6, 2008, from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Lunch will be served free of charge, and the afternoon will include special activities, games, great giveaways and door prizes. Burritt on the Mountain has added a new feature to its website: tickets to various Burritt events can now be purchased online. Of course you can still purchase tickets at their gift shop or by calling (256) 536-2882.
Bridge Street Update: Apple is opening Saturday, May 31. Tommy’s Pizza is planning to open on Father’s Day weekend, June 14th. Both Dolce and Connors have just added a new outdoor patio area. On any given weekend, you’ll find Pavement Performers at the North end staging area between the fountains (across from the Heavenly Spa by Westin), the South end staging area (across from Swarovski) and the piazza area near the carousel. The Pavement Performers (over 60 acts on the approved performers list) play for tips and local recognition.
