This week's "Dog of the Week" has a really pitiful story and made me want to cry when I read it. Slugger's previous owner beat him and his brother with a baseball bat. His brother died, but Slugger survived. Huntsville Animal Services is looking for a very special person to take him and give him a loving and peaceful home.
On the other hand, Lyla is a beautiful, rare cat who is sweet, cuddly and quiet. She'd like to be treated like a princess. If you love cats, you'll love this girl.
