Even before the popular TV show "Desperate Housewives" chose "Wisteria Lane" to live on, wisteria was one of my favorite Southern plants. Images of romantic, hazy, lazy days of the South just aren't complete without this gorgeous vine dripping from porches, trees and fences. Even Claude Monet loved the plant and made it the subject of one of his paintings.
