Dog Days Flea Market

Sunday May 24, 2009
If you like treasure hunting, then you'll love checking out a flea market on the weekends. Dog Days Flea Market sits on over 100 acres on land on an open field in Ardmore, Tennessee, just over the Alabama state line. The flea market actually started in the 1940's as a place where hunters would meet on Mondays to let their hunting dogs run in the woods and trade dogs; hence, the name: Dog Days. A lot of things have changed since those first days and crowds on Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekends make it one of the largest flea markets around. It's open every Sunday and Monday. Head out Hwy 53 (Jordan Lane) out of Huntsville to get to Dog Days Flea Market.
