Helen Keller Honored With Festival

June 27th is Helen Keller's birthday and the city of Tuscumbia, Alabama holds a Festival each June to celebrate the life and contributions of this great lady. This year the festival is June 25-28. A few years ago, I went to tour Ivy Green and see "The Miracle Worker" in the backyard of where the events actually happened. I love this story and it was awesome to watch it where the well-known scene between Helen & her teacher takes place.
