Huckabee Endorses Les Phillip
Former Presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee visited Huntsville Tuesday to support Les Phillip, Republican candidate for US Congress from Alabama District 5.
Phillip, born in Tobago, Trinidad came to the United States as young boy in 1971. He later became a naturalized US citizen, after studying the Constitution extentsively. Les is a resident of Madison, Alabama, a business owner, pilot, husband, and father of three. Les hopes to get the country back on track to the principles of the Constitution.
Mike Huckabee publicly endorsed Les Phillip for Congress at a dinner fundraiser attended by several hundred at North Hall in the Von Braun Center. This was Huckabee's third trip to Huntsville. Not only did he stop by during his Presidential campaign, but he had been to Huntsville when he was a junior in high school to attend a legislative conference.
Mike Huckabee has a weekend news program on Fox News. He is spending a lot of time traveling around the United States to support certain Republican candidates that he believes in. During his speech Tuesday evening, Huckabee praised Les Phillip and stated that he had all the characteristics of a national leader in the Republican Party.
