Veterans Day Parade Is Next Wednesday

In Huntsville, Veterans Day is celebrated with a parade in downtown Huntsville. Veterans from all the armed forces and all the different wars are honored. Veterans Day is a federal holiday and a state holiday in all states. Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. Major hostilities of World War I ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice. Here's a look at the 2007 parade.
