The Daffodils Are Here!

Are you ready for spring? It's not officially here yet for a week or so...but I always consider the first part of March springtime in Huntsville. It's getting close to spring when the daffodils are here. One of the first places to show signs of spring is Quietdale Plantation with their acres of daffodils. Quietdale is extremely quiet and serene in the middle of the city. The majestic oak trees, ancient dogwoods, giant holly bushes, acres of daffodils and profusion of Jackson vine is a vivid reminder of the Old South. A glass of ice tea on the front porch and a cool summer breeze makes this a scene out of many romantic movies trying to capture a bygone era.
