On the weather map...Heading into an unsettled weather pattern this weekend. Several impulses will impact the region this weekend bringing with it a chance of showers Friday & a better chance of rain & thunderstorms on Saturday. Could have a few strong storms Saturday as well. We'll get a small break from the heavier rain on Sunday with temperatures well above normal through the weekend. A stronger system will likely move our way the first of next week. Some model data has suggested the possibility of strong to perhaps severe thunderstorms somewhere in the Tuesday-Wednesday time frame. Something to keep a close eye on through the weekend.
My official Tennessee Valley weekend forecast...
Friday...Cloudy with a 30% chance of showers. High 61.
Friday Night...Showers & thunderstorms likely. Low 52. Chance of rain 70%.
Saturday...Showers & thunderstorms likely. A few locally strong storms possible. High 62. Chance of rain 80%.
Saturday Night...Clearing & cooler. Low 45.
Sunday...Mostly cloudy. Some light rain possible by afternoon. High 67. Chance of rain 20%.
