Spend your Winter Break with Sci-Quest, Hands-on Science Center, Wednesday Dec. 26 through Friday Dec. 28, and discover the science of all things cool. Winter Break Camps are for children in kindergarten through fifth-grade. Sci-Quest is now registering for its Winter Break Camps and offers children hands-on activities in topics such exploring the ice-cold world of space and experimenting with liquid nitrogen and dry ice to training as a meteorologist and making a winter weather instrument to take home. All camp sessions include a hands-on activity to take home.

There are two different camp sessions each day: a morning session, which is from 9 a.m. to noon, and an afternoon session, which is from 1 to 4 p.m. Children can choose one camp session, one day or all three days. As an added benefit for working parents whose children are attending camps, Sci-Quest offers early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up at 5:30 p.m.

Children in Winter Break Camps must be preregistered prior to the requested camp. There is no registration the day of the camps. Class sizes are limited, and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Winter Break Camps are $20 per camp session unless otherwise noted. Sci-Quest Members receive a 10 percent discount. For a complete list of camps offered and registration directions, visit www.sci-quest.org or call 256-837-0606.
