Here's How:
- Make sure you qualify for Space Camp. You must be at least 9 years old and doing 4th grade work in school.
- Register 2 weeks in advance or sooner if you want a particular week. Space Camp is one week long and offered every week year round.
- Get a doctor's signature on a health form to show that you are physically capable of participating in Space Camp.
- Get some money from your parents--or grandparents! The price of Space Camp depends on your age and how long you're staying. It's not as expensive as you might think. Check with Space Camp for current prices.
- Register online with a credit card at http://www.spacecamp.com or through the mail at: Space Camp, 1 Tranquility Base, Huntsville, AL 35805-3399 Attention: Reservations, or call with a credit card: 256-837-3400.
- Start practicing floating in space until your camp date arrives!
- Arrive early to Space Camp. The U. S. Space and Rocket Center (home to Space Camp) is off Exit 15 on I-565. Just look for the big rocket out front.
- Prepare to experience the same training that the astronauts do. You will learn the fundamentals about missions, stimulators, educational programs about space, different lunar activities, and space stations.
- Do your homework! You will be given a log book for assignments and to take home after camp.

- Space suits, in sizes ranging from youth-small to adult XXL are available for purchase in the museum gift shop for $75.
- Weekend or week-long space camp experiences are available for adults. There are also Parent/Child weekend programs.
