Fayetteville TN: A Small Town with Charm

Town Hosts Christmas Past Festival

By , About.com Guide

Just 30 miles north of Huntsville on the intersection of 231/431 and Highway 64 is a small town brimming with character and charm. Many local residents enjoy the short trip to Fayetteville, known for its antique shops, Sir's fabric store, and "jailhouse" restaurant.

The second weekend in November, however, all of Fayetteville turns out to become the Host of Christmas Past. The event started when The Flower House held a Christmas Open House and all the other merchants followed.

All the downtown merchants deck their stores in Christmas finery including old-fashioned window displays. The town square is filled with bazaar booths, entertainment, and food.

This year, the Madison Community Band from Madison, Alabama entertained the crowd with their musical talents.
