Based on The Matchmaker by Thornton Wilder, "Hello, Dolly" tells the story of Dolly Gallagher Levi, a matchmaker who has been hired to arrange a marriage for the widowed half-millionaire Horace Vandergelder.

10/28/04 Theatre Review: "Woman in Black"
The Woman In Black, Susan Hill's novel, adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt, is a good, old-fashioned ghost story that is virtually guaranteed to scare you.

Theatre Huntsville goes back to the 1950's with their current production of "Moon Over Buffalo." In this backstage farce,an acting couple—not exactly the Lunts—are on tour in Buffalo in 1953.

08/19/04 Theatre Review: "Standing On My Knees"
Renaissance Theatre is presenting "Standing On My Knees" on their Alpha Stage. It's a powerful, provocative and affecting study of a gifted poet struggling to come to terms with the schizophrenia which is undermining her art and her life.

08/12/04 Theatre Review: "Pageant" Struts Onto Renaisannce Stage
Six men competing as women in a beauty pageant sounds like a LOT of fun to me...and it is! This interactive play is as much fun for the audience as it is for the actors. In fact, I think those men were having entirely too much fun pretending to be women!

07/29/04 Theatre Review: "Jesus Christ Superstar"
Two Jesus Christ Superstars in one year? What was the Huntsville Community Chorus thinking? I'm sure you're just like me and wondered why a local community group would do the same show that The Broadway Theatre League had just brought to town. Once you see this show, you'll know the reason: The talented people of The Huntsville Community Chorus have a production to rival the professionals.

07/20/04 World Premiere of "Chorus Linebackers"
Huntsville is in for an entertaining time as Michael Gimenez and Ovation Arts presents the world premiere of "The Chorus Linebackers," an original musical written, produced and directed by Gimenez. This show reminds one of "Grease" mixed with "West Side Story" and contains lots of dancing and all original music written by Gimenez.

07/15/04 Theatre Review: "Camping With Henry & Tom"
Theatre Huntsville Sets Up "Camping With Henry & Tom" Theatre Huntsville has saved perhaps it's best show for the last in their 2003-2004 season with the very smart and very witty, "factional" (fiction based on fact) play, "Camping with Henry and Tom." Find out things you didn't know about Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and Warren G. Harding.
