Owner Lynn Kirksey says that the idea for Annabella has always been a dream of hers. She says that she loves giving parties and entertaining. Since the plantation style house does not have a catering kitchen, Lynn says she isn't responsible for all the little details of a wedding but can enjoy the "fun part." Caters and florists have the hardest part to the wedding and Lynn is happy to leave that to the professionals.
Lynn says that she made up the name "Annabella." She said that "Anna" means "beloved of God" and "bella" means "beautiful." The name describes what weddings are all about to Kirksey.
Annabella at Cedar Glenn is housed in a 3,200 square foot southern plantation style house. There is the Garden Room which seats up to 200 guests, three reception rooms, a bride's room, a groom's room, a gazebo, a patio, and a picturesque balcony.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped for outdoor weddings and receptions.
Live plants are always indoors and in the warmer months on the gazebo and decks. The wonderful greenery inside makes the need for fresh flowers almost nonexistent. If you chose not to use the house's plants or what them moved into a different arrangement, Lynn is happy to accommodate the bride's wishes. Wedding Consultant's services are provided free of charge.
The rehearsal is included in the rental fee. No hard liquor is allowed on the premises unless an off-duty police officer is present for the entire time the liquor is being served until the last guest leaves.
Lynn owns two more adjoining lots to Annabella. She plans to build more wedding facilities to compliment Annabella at Cedar Glen.
