With over 400 entries in the Greater Huntsville Humane
Society's "Hot Dogs & Cool Cats Photo Contest", here are some
of my favorites.
See the chart with a link on the pet's name for the Top 20 photos--the photos
will be added to as new photos rise to the top--so this order won't stay the
same. Note: the flashes are from MY camera and not on the original
photos.
Mackenzie, a 2-1/2 year old Cavalier Kings Charles Spaniel, won the title of "Top Dog" in the "Hot Dogs & Cool Cats" Photo Contest and will appear on the cover of the GHHS Calendar. Owner Daniel Kilbanoff says of Mackenzie:
"My
daughter Isabel and I were looking for an inside lap dog and found Mackenzie on
the internet and bought her from a breeder in Missouri. She was flown in on
American Airlines when she was 8 weeks old...She loves to snuggle, and sleeps
with me and my cat Rosie every night. She loves people and licks my face 100
times every morning when I wake up. She like to fetch and also likes chasing the
light when you take a flashlight and move it around on the ground in different
directions. She wants to be near people and particularly likes to be in my lap
most of the time. She is very easy going and will sleep until noon if I were to
sleep until noon. My habits become her habits not the other way around."
