| Part 4: Cropp Home | |||||||||||||
This Craftsman bungalow at the corner of Randolph Avenue and Lacy Street is one of the landmarks of the Five Points Historic Districts. The house was built in 1914 on a portion of a 285-acre tract in the first planned subdivision of the city and named East Huntsville. The notable interior features of the classic bungalow style house include wide front porch pillars and a single large gable-front dormer. Interior features include original fireplaces.
Ms. Cropp's home is adorned with a blend of antiques--notably an English secretary--and contemporary furnishings, including a handsome coffee table fashioned from a wrought iron gate from New Orleans. She has also developed a lovely garden outside a comfortable sunroom.
