Travis,  my John Benton Morgan was born there in 1800,  and he and his family left there in about 1836-38 and moved to DeKalb County,  AL,  then to Jackson County.

Travis,  that's too bad. I'm having an awful time trying to connect all the Morgan’s from SC with my Morgan’s. There were a bunch of them,  and only a few headed for Alabama,  and some for Mississippi.

Coosa,  we went to school at Weoogufka with the McGradys....also Vansandts, Podys, Rayfield, Porch Family (John, Kermit, Donald)...my family is related to John and James Pruitt,  Exa Stewart, and most of my teachers---Mrs. Bazemore, Goodgame, Porter, Phillips, and Stewart teachers. My dad died last July in Sylacauga at the age of 93. My Mom, Flora Brasher Smith is 87 and lives at 1109 West 4th Street in Sylacauga a few blocks form Fairground [msg continues in 20 secs]
