I can only get back to my great-great grandpa Nelson who was born in Alabama,  his name was Jack

if you like I have Dorothy’s address in PC,  FL if you'd like to check the Nelsons that still may be in Chilton Co or there abouts

My great grandpa was born in 1863 so I figure his dad was born in about 1840

my cousins in Atlanta are doing the same research I am but on a different direction

I don't think there is much hope of my finding any more on that line of my family

My great-great-grandmother was Mescalero Apache

these Strickland’s may have been dodging the census because they stole a baby from the Indians

I have 2 cousins who gained membership in the tribe,  being 1/16th

mine is Creek

and I'm 1/8 th

Stole an Indian babe,  no wonder

well they thought she wasn't being cared for

so they took her and I'm pretty sure the mother didn't protest

Cool Aarius,  you might be able to get tribal membership

yeah if we can ever prove it

Maybe,  the mom was afraid or thought the child would have a better chance in the white world.
