| <Granny> | No, Alexander did not serve in the Civil War that I know of. One of WJB Padgett's sons died in the Civil War though, and there were several Snodgrass men who served. |

| <memeEJ> | I have just found out that Francis Marion Shields and Ann Baggett are my great grandparents. His father was James Shields, all from Pike Co. I don't know yet. |
