<Granny>

MizB, wonder if maybe that Nancy is from a brother or someone else in our line? I know that more than John Benton Morgan came to AL from SC

<huntsvilleADM>

brb

<MizB>

Granny, I wouldn't be surprised

<Granny>

Maggie, our John Benton Morgan came from Pickens County, SC around the mid 1830s

<Granny>

They settled in Wills Valley, DeKalb County, AL

<CyberLemon>

<MizB>

nite Cyber

<Granny>

Maggie...we will have to check into that more!

<Guest3114>

<Granny>

Phebelyn, any information about the Padgett's in Jackson is always appreciated! My email is granny1463@yahoo.com. I have lots of Padgett ancestors from there.

<Granny>

Maggie, MizB and I try to look at all possibilities! They have been a difficult family to research.

<Guest3114>

Does anyone have any Bouldin family in DeKalb County....looking for Reuben Bouldin family. Maggie

<Phebelyn>

I'll keep your email and send you anything I come across.

<Granny>

<Guest3114>

If anyone needs information in Marshall or Etowah...I would be glad to help...Maggie

<Hugh>

Granny when the frost comes and kills the foliage I will go to the old cemetery on the side of the mtn. and see if I can get some pictures of the Paggett Cemetery

<Guest3114>

Granny...you are telling me...my great grandmother, and I have been on this trail for 25 years...Maggie

<Phebelyn>

I have some HOLLIS's in Etowah. There are some buried at Katy--Hughes cemetery.

<Granny>

Hugh, that would be great. I just hired a man to do that, and he took lots of pictures for me, but all you can see are the white stones...none of the engraving is readable at all. They came today, and I was so disappointed. He said that the cemetery is not very overgrown this year, that the periwinkle or something is on the ground and apparently keeping out the weeds. Looked in pretty good shape from what I could tell. Wi [msg continues in 20 secs]

<Granny>

ll be even better in winter. [msg complete]

<Granny>

Maggie...guess I can't complain then! I have only been on the trail for 2 years!

<Guest3114>

Okay guys...I have other families...Davis, Morgan, Johnson, Plunkett, Bouldin, Roden

<Guest3114>

I wish I had waited for computers...it would have been easier...

<MizB>

Should have tried the trick I used on the stones that was to use shaving cream and wipe it off left the white cream in the letters and made it easy to read them.

<Granny>

I'm signing off for tonight. Maggie, my email is granny1463@yahoo.com. Email me and we can compare Morgan's. See all of you next week.

<Phebelyn>

Nite all and happy hunting!

<Hugh>

Guest where are the Rodens from there are some Rodens here in Jackson Co

<MizB>

nite Granny

<Granny>

MizB...don't know if that would have worked this time. The stones appeared completely white...he said something about the reflection in his auto camera.

<Hugh>
