Teacher,
my first cousin Jan Carver Whitaker lives and teaches in Columbus...she
grew up in Sylacauga and Anniston..Army brat's daughter |
|
<huntsvilleADM> |
I
don't think so, Travis....but
never thought about it...maybe someone has done his genealogy. Should look
it up. |
|
<huntsvilleADM> |
are
you here for the Alabama genealogy chat,
GaCathy? |
|
<GaCathy> |
yes |
|
<teacher36870> |
Could
I have trouble with my ancestors in AL because they were sort of passing
through on their way somewhere else? James ALLEN's dad had property valued
at over $27, 000 in Macon/Lee County at one time. Guess probate records
need to be checked on that, right?
I have made only one visit to a courthouse since I began this 2 years ago.
Can't seem to get to Opelika or Dadeville. |
|
<huntsvilleADM> |
If
so, please share your
SURNAMES with us.....and the counties in Alabama you are researching. |
|
<huntsvilleADM> |
GaCathy--is
this your first time here? |
|
<huntsvilleADM> |

people in chat or in the forum will look things up for you...if you don't
live in Alabama. |

GaCathy--it's
been too long....hope you'll come back more often! Some people only read
the latest chat transcripts.....so the more you come, the better change you have of making a connection.....(a
lot more people read the transcripts than come to chat...a shame,
really) |
|
<huntsvilleADM> |
Mickey,
are you related to Bill Easterling? from the Huntsville Times? |
|
<marfa> |
That
I agree with, ADM |
|
<huntsvilleADM> |
that's
""chance"" not ""change""! LOL |
|
<teacher36870> |
Mickey,
ironically I was raised in Iowa/Nebraska and had no knowledge of AL
connections until 2 years ago. Mom died in 1977 with no info about family
related to her kids. Here we are digging around now. |
