<Granny>

What Padgett are you looking for?

<junebug>

I am looking for Thomas J. Son of Mansfield son of William and minerva

<MemeJane>

Family of Francis Marion SHIELDS and Ann Tillery were: Children:John W. SHIELDS b. 1851. William Toliver SHIELDS b. 1855. George W. SHIELDS b. 1857. Clarisa SHIELDS b. 1859. Morgan SHIELDS b. 1863. and Albert SHIELDS 1868. As far as I can tell these and the above were all from Pike Co. , AL.

<Granny>

junebug...I think that we have corresponded before...I'm Anne. I can track back to William and Minerva...William was brother to my Rev. John, and some beyond that on your line, but hit a brick wall in trying to get information on Thomas J.

<MizB>

Meme, you have a Morgan Shields, do you know if the Morgan was from an ancestor, maybe a grandmother's maiden name???

<junebug>

The Padgett’s, Stephens and Morrows were all linked in Marshall, Jackson and DeKalb counties

<Granny>

junebug...this is not really a chat tonight...post all the information that you have and maybe someone reading the transcripts will see it and get in touch with you. Today is an ""Open House"" kind of thing where you can post all your information all day long...we are just stuck in a routine as we are used to meeting at this time for our chat!

<junebug>

Hi Anne I think you are right. I am still trying to find that elusive thread.

<Granny>

junebug...just start typing all the information that you know about them and what counties, dates, all the children you know, everything so that it will get into the transcripts!

<MizB>

Junebug who is your Morrows?

<junebug>

my ggrandfather was James Polk Morrow from Marshall County

Thanks for the welcome. I had descendants in Coosa County about the time of the Civil War. The other day in a library I found a roster of confederate Soldiers, with a John H. Brazile from the 60th Al. Infantry, Co. B. My ancestor's name was John H. Braziel. Can anyone tell me if the 60th Infantry was formed in Coosa County?

<MizB>

Well that was just on my Potter side, I could do Morgan and Holdridge and Cowart
