together to TN then to Jackson, Morgan
and Madison Cos AL...some stayed in N AL but mine went on to Coosa and

in Austin we have allot of different resources,
if you check the website for the State Library,
it'll tell you what they have,
and if someone can look it up. After the Christmas season is done,
I will be down there. |

land records website gave me the land records for Joseph Webb of Limestone
County...and the certified copies are cheap. When my 7-year-old grandson
saw the signature of the President, he
was ready to pack and go to Alabama! |

my particular line of Padgett came from Rutherford County,
NC to SC, to TN then
to Jackson County, AL.
However, there were related Padgetts in other areas of Alabama.
My mother was a Padgett. |

Elizabeth Smith married Robert G McCann,
then they came to Lincoln County TN,
where their daughter, Mary
C McCann married my ggrandfather, Joseph
