GRANNY, No I live in ROME, GA but my mother grew up on Sand MT & her parents had a farm there, where I spent a good bit of time. There is also a FLAT ROCK up there.

hailvester, that is where the Padgett farm was from what I can tell. I hope to get their next spring and check the area out for myself. I have visited Scottsboro many times in my ""younger"" days, but am not familiar with the surrounding areas.

Actually--the people who own it, don't live in it now.....but they sell antiques in it and have a little display of old pictures, the diary, and some other stuff from the OTEY family.
