<Ron>

Thanks for looking ADM. A lot of my direct line left Madison by the mid 1800's and went to Jefferson. I think most of them are probably buried there.

<AlaNana>

<Ron>

Chica, I have a book that has some Blasingames in it. The book is ""Southern Lineages: records of Thirteen Families"".

<Chica>

Thank you Ron. I've seen the book. The Blasingames were around for quite a while and had bunches of kids. Thank you.

AlaNana, not that I know of, but then the only Nicholson that we are sure of is Mary Ann Nicholson who married John Benton Morgan in Pickens, SC prior to coming first to DeKalb County, then to Jackson County.

<Chica>

MizBt the entry reads: Elisabeth (sic) Caver, born in Alabama, and Joe Caver, born in Alabama, farmer, had a male white child born in Beat 6 on 15 Oct 1895

<Granny>

Marfa...glad you made it back! :-)

<huntsvilleADM>

Granny--yes, part of Decatur Co. is now Madison County. From Early History of Huntsville: ""It is interesting to know, that what is now the eastern part of Madison--all that tract of country lying east of Flint River, and a part of what is now western Jackson county,--constitut3ed the county of ""Decatur"" created by an act of the Legislature of the Stat of AL on Dec. 17th, 1821.

<Granny>

Thanks, ADM...I know Decatur was only a county for a very short time, and that it was between Madison and Jackson. Don't know for sure where to look for the records from there.

<huntsvilleADM>

Granny--try both counties....worth a try.

<MizB>

Well I went to check something and I think I lost MizBt and am again MizB

<huntsvilleADM>

hey, MizB--congrats!

<Granny>

Thanks, ADM...that is sort of what I figured, but knowing the dividing line may help!

<Chica>

MizB, did you see the Caver information?

<huntsvilleADM>

Granny, I have a book on the history of Jackson Co.....I haven't read it and was looking for it when I found this one on Huntsville.....it might say something else about Decatur Co.

<MizB>

All we know of our Nickolsons is that Mary Ann was born in Pickens Co., Sc in 1806

<huntsvilleADM>

Only nine minutes left in chat (but you can stay all night if you like!)--be sure and get all your info up for the transcripts.......

<MizB>

Mary Ann married John Benton Morgan

<CORKIE2450>

no mine back in the 1600's sorry

<Granny>

MizB, scroll back up just a bit and look at the Carver information that Chico posted while you were looking for something.

<Chica>

<Granny>

<Granny>

PADGETT, MORGAN, WEBB, HORTON, SNODGRASS, NICHOLSON, McCORD, THOMPSON, BRIDGES in Jackson and DeKalb Counties.

<marfa>

<Granny>

marfa...we are just glad you keep coming back!

<AlaNana>

PADGETT, TALLADEGA ; RICHARDSON, HALSEY AND HENRY, RANDOLPH CO.

<Ron>

Abraham Caldwell came to Madison County from Knox County, TN in 1808. He later moved to Jefferson County. These Byram, Hinds, and Caldwell kin are descendents of John Alden of Mayflower fame.

<Chica>

Ron, I have extracted all of the Caldwell info from TAP ROOTs, (covers several different counties), if I could have your e-mail  I will send it to you.

<marfa>

RICHARDSON, CARPENTER, TURMAN, LIVELY, HALEY, LOGAN, HALES in Greene, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson co. Most came from N.C. to Ala.

<Granny>

Ron, I saw a whole website on the descendants of John Alden of Mayflower fame today when I was looking for something on the Internet. I don't remember where, but I'm sure you could find it by typing in John Alden genealogy in your search engine.

<Ron>

Thanks Chica. rbearden@farmerstel.com

<huntsvilleADM>

Granny, why don't you try looking at your ""history"" to see what the website was?

<Chica>

I'll send it now Ron... subject will be Caldwell. Just so you know it's me. :-)

<Granny>

ADM, I didn't go on the website, it just came up with lots of other when I was searching for my Webb line, so don't know if it would be in my history.

<marfa>
