Barnes & Noble Grand Opening with Homer Hickam
Homer Hickam (right), best-selling author of Rocket Boys, shakes hands with Barnes & Noble's Store Manager, David Thayer at the store's Grand Opening in Jones Valley Mall. A Huntsville resident, Homer Hickam was on his way to Orlando where his book, Rocket Boys, was selected for the "One Community, One Read" program.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, Homer shares a few words with Mayor Loretta Spencer.
Winnie the Pooh was on hand to give the little tykes, like Emily, a hug. You can visit Barnes & Noble at 2750 Carl T. Jones Parkway, Suite 750 in Huntsville. Phone 885-0501 and store hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am-10:00 pm; Friday & Saturday, 9:00 am-11:00 pm and Sunday, 10:00 am-9 pm.
