The Legends Concert: Elvis, Patsy and Frank
HATS (Huntsville Association of Technical Societies) presented a real treat to the Huntsville audience by sponsoring the Legends Concert on Saturday, March 2, 2002. Three local entertainers did an outstanding job of presenting the works of Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, and Frank Sinatra. It's hard to believe that they are living right here among us!

Margie Cumbie portrayed Patsy Cline with audience favorites such as "Crazy" and "Sweet Dreams." Margie works for Computer Science Corporations as the Assistant Director of Legislative Affairs and Community Relations.

Dave McConnell thrilled the audience with some of Frank Sinatra favorites such as "I've Got the World on a String" and "New York, New York." Dave can be seen on Thursday nights at the Jazz Factory in the Martini Bar.

The second half of the program was devoted to Elvis, portrayed expertly, fantastically, and unbelievably realistically by Mitchell Brown. I went with ten friends and they were ALL impressed. In fact, two thought he was even BETTER than Elvis. His strong voice, engaging manners, and genuine enthusiasm have made him a national award winner among Elvis impersonators. The Twickenham Orchestra and the backup singers gave Mitchell's singing a wonderful finishing touch.
Great show! Thanks, HATS for bringing this great concert to the Von Braun Center.
