What would Annie be without rich, loud, and bossy Daddy Warbucks? Mike Beutjer hands in an outstanding performance as Billionnaire Daddy Warbucks, especially with his singing and dancing numbers with Annie in the second act. Holly Aldridge aptly portrays Warbucks' efficient and compassionate secretary, always smooth Warbucks' ruffy demeanor.
Besides "Tomorrow," "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile," and "It's a Hard-Knock Life," this musical is loaded with other snappy tunes. My favorite was "Easy Street," with Gabe Jaime as Rooster (one of my personal favorites in this show), Christian Gunner as Miss Hannigan, and Ryan Omenski as Lily.
Warbucks' household staff is played by George Kobler, Jackie Obenhuber, Adrienne Garbarino, Susan Smith, and Tracyne McKee. Jimmy Spain, Dave Tonn, Mitra Adhami, Angela Fredrick, Betsey London, Amanda Brown, Craig Reinhart, Rick Niedermeyer, and Mel Strain round out the cast.
Other cast members include Ester Stephenson, Tracyne McKee, Ginger Simard, Whitney Sims, Robert Allred, Whitney Thornberry, Brian Wisdom, Clark Chambers, Zachary Swanner, Russell Grand, Scot Murdock, Rose Cousart, and Abbey Steed.
