My family and I used to eat at the El Palacio restaurant when we lived in the vicinity, which was over 34 years ago. We thought the food was wonderful! At that time, one could go either to the buffet/cafeteria side, or choose the restaurant area. Either one, was a winner. I don't know if that is still the set-up or not, as I have not lived in Alabama for many years.
