Merry TubaChristmas is celebrating its 27th anniversary. The concert will
feature traditional Christmas carols arranged especially for the first
TubaChristmas in 1974 at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

Candlelight
Christmas -- Burritt on the Mountain
3101 Burritt Drive, Huntsville 256-536-2882
Candlelight tour of the entire site including Dr. Burritt's house, the old
Baptist church, and the museum's 19th century log houses which will abound
with period decorations and have volunteers in period clothing demonstrating
holiday traditions. There will be Christmas entertainment throughout
the park, a visit with St. Nicholas, Kid's Korner, hot cider and treats for
everyone. Saturday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for
senior citizens, students, and military, and $2 for children ages 2-18.
Burritt Museum Association members are admitted free.

"Rejoice" -- Huntsville Community Chorus
Huntsville High School -- 2304 Billie Watkins SW, Huntsville
Performances 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
This year the Huntsville Community Chorus will present Bach's masterpiece "Magnificant"
along with songs of Christmas, Hanukkah, and selections by the
Community Children's Chorus. Tickets are $12 for adults; $10 for students
and seniors over 65. Advance tickets can be purchased from the
Community Chorus Office, 3312 Long Ave, Huntsville--Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Antique Train & Erector Set Display -- Southerland Station

Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
Santa will be on hand to help you enjoy the festivities with model train and
erector set displays. No admission charge.

Madison Tree Lighting Ceremony -- Madison City Hall
7 p.m. at Madison City Hall on Hughes Road. No admission charge.

"Every Light a Prayer for Peace" is the theme for the community
Christmas tree. Following the lighting, there will be holiday
entertainment and refreshments.
