"The Christmas Star" -- Von Braun Astronomical Society

children 6-11; under 6 is free.
Hear the stories and legends of the Wise Men, who followed the Christmas star to
find the child Jesus. December star party following the show, weather
permitting.

Madison Holiday Parade -- Downtown Madison
Parade time is 11 a.m. No admission charge. 256-361-0518
Following the parade, there will be festivities on the village green in downtown
Madison including an appearance by Santa, a bonfire with marshmallows and
entertainment.

Enjoy a proper British "High Tea" this holiday with extra
treats being served to celebrate Christmas.

The historic area of Huntsville will be aglow with luminaries, trees and front
doors glistening with decorations and carolers strolling along the way.
Several homes dating from 1819 will be open to visitors. Advance home tour
tickets are available at Marie Imports on Pratt Avenue, West Station Antiques in
Madison, and the Weeden House Museum on Gates Avenue. Tickets will also be
available at each home during the tour. Rain date is December 10.
Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for children under 12.

"Spirit of Christmas Past" Public Reception

5-9 p.m. with no admission charge.
In conjunction with Twickenham Historic District's "Spirit of Christmas
Past" Homes Tour and Luminaries, the Women's Guild invites you to take the
trolley from the Weeden House to the Huntsville Museum of Art for wassail and
Christmas cookies.

"Parade of Lights" -- Ditto Landing and
Marina

Festivities will start with a bang as fireworks brighten up the night sky.
Decked out in the festive spirit, boats will parade out of Ditto Landing and up
the Tennessee River to Hobbs Island, back down the river to the first buoy past
the bridge and return to Ditto Landing.

Live Nativity Scenes & Open House -- Holmes Street United
Methodist Church

The sanctuary will be open with music, entertainment, a handbell choir,
instrumentalists, and entertainment. A puppet show will be presented and
refreshments will be served. The live Nativity will be presented outside
with the Three Kings arriving at 7 p.m. Carols will be sung following
their arrival.
