Huntsville's Holiday Calendar of Events--Part 8

Events are color-coded for your convenience.  Events listed in green require money (that green stuff!); those in red are free--making you as jolly as old St. Nick in his red outfit!  Enjoy this list and take in as many activities as your time, energy and interests will permit.

December 10
"Christmas in Hampton Cove"  -- Hampton Cove
Hours 2-6 p.m.   Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 the day of the event.
This holiday tour will include six beautiful homes decorated for the holidays in Hampton Cove.  Refreshments will be served at Hampton House with carolers throughout the tour. Following the tour of homes, Hampton Cove will have a luminary tour.  All proceeds will benefit the National Children's Advocacy Center.  Tickets available at the Children's Advocacy Center, The Carriage Post, Parisian's, Lawren's and Hampton House.

December 10
University Choir Christmas Musicale -- Alabama A&M University
T. M. Elmore Building    5:30 p.m.   No admission charge.  256-851-5512
This 90-voice choir will be accompanied by a brass ensemble, organ and piano.  Richard F. Tucker will be the conductor for this holiday concert.

December 14-17
The Living Christmas Tree  -- First Baptist Church Sanctuary
600 Governors Drive, Huntsville     256-428-9422.
Performances:  7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 and 15; 5 p.m. & 8 p.m. Dec. 16; and 3 p.m. Dec. 17
This is one of the most popular Christmas programs in town!  It is a worship service with deep spiritual meaning and will be a memorable highlight of your Christmas observance.  The program this year is "My Peace I Give You."  Free invitation tickets are available on request from the First Baptist Church Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

December 15
UAH Concert Choir Christmas Concert 
St. John's Catholic Church, Madison  256-824-6436
7:30 p.m.  No admission charge
The University of Alabama-Huntsville Concert Choir will fill the sanctuary with the beautiful sounds of the season as well as lead the audience in a chorus of Christmas carols.

December 16
Breakfast with Santa  --  Southern Adventures
2150 Leeman Ferry Circle, Huntsville  256-382-7275
Reservations required by December 12.  No admission charge.
Join Santa for breakfast.  Admission is free with a new unwrapped toy for the Second Mile Development Secret Santa program.  A magic program, caroling, puppet show, and fun with parrot robot and Mascot will be part of the festivities.
