FIELD TRIP—What’s Going on in Driving Distance

Cullman:

The Echota Cherokee Tribe presents

Cullman County Indian Festival

Saturday, June 14 from 10am - 6pm

and Sunday, June 15 from 10am - 5pm

Smith Lake Park (Exit 304), Cullman Al

The festival includes: Storytellers, Native American Flutists, Traditional

and Fancy Dancers, Arts and Crafts, Flintknapper, Native American

Demonstrators, Warrior Society Honor Guard, Native American Foods and much

more.

Price: $4 admission for Park Entry

Nashville:

JUMP, JIVE & SWING!

1st and 3rd Saturdays at the Knowles Center (Ballroom on the State

Fairgrounds, off Nolensville Road, in Nashville) in Nashville, for Big Band

swing, free lessons and great fun. LESSONS begin at 7:00 pm and last until

7:45 pm for beginners and 7:45 to 8:30 for Intermediate dancers. Then stick

around for dancing and refreshments until 11:00 pm as we spin a great mix of

swingin' Big Band sounds from the '40's through today! $6 admission. For

There are Lindy Hop and Balboa workshops in Nashville on the weekend of July

19. Pick one or the other, and then take 2 days of lessons from some highly

respected swing dance instructors. There will be 3 levels of instruction, so

there is something for everyone. This is an excellent opportunity! Sign up
