G's is a great place to get "home cooking" at a reasonable price.  The food is excellent and the service is fast.  My biggest complaint (and The Times' reviewers) is the unfriendly/passive staff.  I don't know what it takes to get a smile out of these folks, but I don't have the ability.  I actually quit eating there for a while due to the atmosphere.  You never felt that they were happy to have customers.
