A lot of businesses have 5-year plans. It's unusual to meet a 15-year old and an eleven-year old with a vision for five years down the road. But David Sanders and Amanda Harris, skating together for only two years, have their eye on the gold in 2006.

The young pair were recently selected by the United States Figure Skating Association to represent the U.S. in the North American Challenge in Canada. They walked away with first place in the Pairs Event in Vancouver, Canada in August, 2001. They competed in the Novice Division--the highest level they could compete in for Amanda's age.

This talented pair practice three hours a day on the ice and one hour off the ice. David has been skating for 9 years. He fell in love with the sport while attending a public skating rink when his family was on vacation. Amanda has been skating for 5 years.

Their coaches paired them up two years ago. Both the skaters are homeschooled so that they can accommodate their many hours of practice. Both skaters show a maturity and talent well beyond their years. Watch for David Sanders and Amanda Harris in 2006!
