I'm unfortunate enough to say that I was one of the first patrons of the Italian Pie.  Realizing there would probably be a few snags considering it was brand new, we tried to be understanding.  We ordered breadsticks as an appetizer which took a really long time to get, and once we did the marinara sauce was burnt.  It was terrible - it tasted like what you would think a cigarette butt would taste like.  I can't imagine that a manager would not perform a line check (inspect all the products before the guests).  We promptly complained, which isn't like us, but who could eat that? We ordered calzones as the meal & it of course was made with the burnt marinara.  We complained again.  The manager came to visit our table & said he was sorry about it, & hoped we would come back.  I don't know about that.  I really feel sorry for the huge pizza delivery they were making while we were there.  I'm sure those people were in for a real treat.
