For cheap and cheerful Mexican food, it doesn't get much better.

This place is totally authentic, right down two the two TVs set on "Telemundo" at all times. The food is not overly greasy or heavy on generic sauce like at some places in town. The Grilled Veggie Taco (really a vegetable quesadilla) is excellent. I also like the taco meat--much better than, say, Mexico Lindo's. They serve breakfast all day. The flan is excellent, and you get free savory bean soup with every meal. The management is very nice. I highly recommend it! And I'm from LA so I know :-).
