McAlister's Deli is located in the shopping center on the corner of Airport Road and Whitesburg Drive, next door to where Tuesday Morning used to be. From the looks of things on a recent visit, the place was fast becoming a local favorite. You have the choice of going there in person or faxing in your order for take out. It's a lot more fun to eat in, so do take the time if you can.
At first sight, McAlister's Deli appears to be three times as large as it really is. That's because of the mirrored walls on both sides. At first I was disappointed it wasn't as big as I originally thought, but once I got use to it, I was glad that the mirrors make it appear more open. The floors are black and white diamond-shaped tile. Very showy, but it also contributes to the noise when the place gets crowded.
