Part 2: Young Eagles Program

A big part of EAA's mission is promoting the Young Eagles program. The Young Eagles is a program of the EAA designed to introduce young people
to aviation. It provides free flights to those between the ages of 8 and 17 years. The goal is to fly 1 million children before December 17, 2003, the hundredth anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first powered controlled flight.
You can find members of Chapter 190 at Moontown Airport every third
Saturday of the month ready to give enthusiastic children a taste of life above the clouds. In this way, they share their love for aviation and introduce kids to a passion that might last a lifetime. Parents are not allowed to go along with the children. The EAA feels that this makes the children less inhibited. Check out the Events Calendar for details on this weekend's Fly-In.
