Recipe of the Month:
Dessert Chocolate Drink
Robin Brewer's philosophy of life is: "Friends are the chocolate chips in the cookie of life!" With Valentine's Day just around the corner and chocolate on everyone's mind, I thought you might enjoy this rich and unusual hot chocolate drink. Robin is a local expert on Noritake China. When she acquired this antique Noritake chocolate set, she set out to find a chocolate recipe from the 1800's that would have been used with the service.

Scrape fine one square of Baker's chocolate (which
will be an ounce). Put it in a pint of boiling water and milk, mixed in equal
parts. Boil ten minutes, and during this time mill it or whip it with a
Dover
egg-whip (one with a wheel), which will make it foam beautifully. Sweeten to the
taste, at table.
