Lunch at Tallulah's was a pleasant surprise! The surroundings were comfortable and the prices reasonable. Nice to see different fare than the usual restaurants in Huntsville. Mediterranean selections with interesting names. I had the chicken kabobs which was served with what I thought was rice...but no, it was couscous! It was delicious. It was served with a nice salad and delicious fresh baked bread which we dipped in olive oil. I really enjoyed my lunch at Tallulah's and highly recommend it.

The food was great. I had the beef kabob and it was very tender and flavorful. Five of us went and we all thought the food was very good and we agreed that we would go back again. It has an eclectic ambiance and is a refreshing change.

Dinner started with the best hummus possible -- strong but balanced flavors, texture neither runny nor dry, served with a Euro-pita bread (same dough but fully risen). Grape leaves delectable, egg-lemon sauce perfect. Diana's mushroom bisque with Portobello, crimini, and shiitake mushrooms, flavors perfectly orchestrated, a standout. Chilean sea bass, exquisitely prepared, possibly the best fish dish I ever tasted. Mediterranean mussels: fat, sweet, and nutty, made with white wine/vermouth sauce featuring sweet onion and tomato, over excellent fettuccine. Starches tend toward risotto, couscous, etc., all with a special treatment. I hear the desserts are great but the IDEA of leaving room for one is too much to conceive. Prices decent, atmosphere pleasant, service excellent. Small bistro-style wine list chosen with real taste. Even trying really hard, I can not come up with the obligatory negative comment, so I had to go for five thumbs. Best overall dining experience in a lonnnnng time. Must return for Angus tenderloin ...

I found the food overpriced and mediocre in comparison to other more authentic Mediterranean and Greek restaurants I've been to.

Several years ago, in that same shopping complex, there was a wonderful Greek bakery that charged a fraction of what this place does for spanokopitas and similar entrees. That little Greek bakery was infinitely tastier and portions heartier than what they serve here. Other places like Nabeel's and Moneer's in Bham also charge much less for better food.

This restaurant should not be considered authentic nor fine dining. The wait service was slow and awkward. With just 3 tables filled at lunch, we spent close to 1hr & 45 min. there. Not because we were enjoying ourselves.

The establishment does not conduct itself in a professional manner.

If kitschy atmosphere matters that much, then by all means, give this place a try.

As for myself, I would not go there again and I could not recommend it.

After a hectic morning, I met a friend for lunch at Tallulah's recently. It was just what I needed. We sat at a cozy little table in the corner in soft, comfortable chairs and felt unhurried and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and polite. We ordered from the luncheon special menu...not sure what exactly we were ordering as we were not that experienced with Mediterranean food. I had the stuffed grape leaves with couscous. It was very tasty and had a strong flavor of a spice I couldn't identify. I asked the waitress what it was and she went right to the source and sent the chef over to answer my questions. It was, we determined, a combination of several spices, probably the basil standing out the most. My friend had the Mousaka (not sure of the spelling). We shared so we could try more items that way. This was delicious. It had eggplant, ground lamb and other goodies in it and was covered with melted cheese. We loved the fresh bread we were served to dip in olive oil. The Baklava and the chocolate cheesecake were outstanding!  We got to chat with the owner also and told her how much we enjoyed our visit.
