There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there successfully.  Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the "secrets" and tricks to living a good life.  I share tips in every issue of my weekly newsletter

If you know some good tips, please send them to me via email. I hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.

Tips for Week of January 22, 2004

THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:

  • Another popular movie has Alabama connections. "Big Fish" is based on a book written by Birmingham native Daniel Wallace.

  • Did you receive a lot of Christmas cards that were photos of family & children? Genealogists are suggesting you write on the back of these and identify everyone in the photo and their relation to you. You great grandchildren will thank you in the future!

  • Huntsville's on the bottom of one list of cities now. And it's good thing! Huntsville is ranked 79th out of 114 of the Most Stressful Mid-Sized Cities, according to Sperling's Best Places.

  • (Hampton Cove Animal Hospital provides "doggie daycare" for the working or shopping pet owner. Hours are 7:30-5:30 and price depends on the size of the dog. Animals are walked 3 times a day and you can also purchase one-on-one "play time" for an additional charge.
